SCENE: One
PEOPLE PRESENT: Zahra Schreiber
CAMERA STATUS: On
Zahra stood outside in an open field. It was night time and the entire field was lit up by the full moon high in the sky. A few wooden posts were placed upright behind her several hundred feet. The camera could pick up on a few robed figured that held torches, holding the flames at the bases of the wooden posts. They caught fire and illuminated the scene even more. Dozens of nameless, faceless robed figured lined the area behind Zahra. She stood fore front, in a black robe of her own. The hood was down to reveal her face in the pale moon light. A small twinkle of light sparked in her black eyes as the camera focused in on her.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : Christmas Eve of Destruction is upon us. What does that mean exactly? It means it's time. It's time to wrap up my year of domination with a tables match. It’s time to finally finish what I started all the way back at Wrestlemania. When I took the title off of Liv Morgan, and obliterated Alexa Bliss’ dreams of being crowned Champion again at Wrestlemania for the second year in a row. She thought she had the match won before the bell even rang... no, no, no. I made them both suffer and I took what was most important to both of them! Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss have been trying like hell all year long, scratching and clawing their way into the title picture... over... And over... Again. But to no avail. You see... Every single time these two have tried to get the win over me, it has failed. Every. single. Time. I make them bleed... I leave them bruised, battered, and barely clinging on to their careers each time we step in that ring toe to toe.
Zahra smirked cockily. The dozens of robed figures stood completely still at this point, only the cloth of their robes moved in the wind.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : These girls still have no idea just who they are messing with. They’ve been playing with fire all year long, and every time they seem surprised when they get burned. It’s clear that they are simply incapable of learning a lesson... Or extremely eager to hit up their retirement. Either way... I shouldn’t have to beat this into both Liv and Alexa all year long and they still don’t get it. Liv Morgan doesn’t have the true heart of a champion... She doesn’t have the ruthlessness to get the job done. Alexa Bliss is much of the same. She puts on a tough act, but she never quite measures up to the hype. Poor little Alexa, finding herself going through a table nearly every damn PPV this year.
Zahra let out a hearty laugh, finding genuine humor in Alexa’s shortcomings so far this year.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : What a shame that Alexa chose revenge on Liv Morgan over her quest for the title. She got distracted along the way. I sat back silently and let Alexa and Liv fight each other. Why should I put in the work when my enemies will take themselves out for me? Sure, it would have been much more fun to do it myself, but sometimes... jusssstttt sometimes... it's fun to sit back in the shadows and watch the show unfold all on it's own. I'm a calculated champion, I don't waste my time with small matters that are far below me. Coronations and the destroying one's shoe collection... those are menial tasks that don't require my attention. I stayed far from the drama in the female locker room, meanwhile, I stood along side my fellow Legion brother's and flipped this company upside down. We accomplished what many have failed to do. We stunned the world and verified everything we've ever told you from the beginning. I went on to beat the best this company has to offer... and walked away as the first ever Queen of the Mountain. Not that trivial titles do much for me but it only goes to show my dominance. I have shed my opponents blood, my boyfriends blood - your World Champion! I've shed my own blood, nearly tearing the skin off my wrist from being cuffed in the Queen of the Mountain match. You all had your chance to keep me down and chained there and still managed to fail.
Zahra shook her head, her eyes glared a hole into the camera before her.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : None of you have stepped up to the plate. Everyone likes to stroll around the back, claiming they will soon be the new Champion... yet none have the balls to challenge me. We have girls claiming their the baddest... the toughest this division has... yet the are too busy feuding with people who are about as far away from being champion as you can ever be. I mean... Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan were too busy with one another... Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair... Ivelisse and Maryse... the list just gets more and more pathetic.
Zahra had to laugh at this and rolled her eyes.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : Ladies, you're all wasting your precious time when I have been here the whole time, holding the top prize this business has to offer. Practically unopposed. Am I truly so threatening that none are willing to challenge me anymore? I spit in the face of your FORMER longest reigning EBWF Women's champion... Trish Stratus. Did she retaliate? ...no. She laid down like the old bitch she is and took it. I beat her precious record. A record she set nearly a decade ago. Many have sought to break it, and all have failed. Even Natalya. Dear ole Nattie, Trish's former best friend. Not even someone of such talent could get the job done. Yet here I am. I have done just about everything to bait Trish out of obscurity but to no avail. Perhaps she truly is out of the game. Tail tucked between her worn legs, cowering in the corner, praying no one euthanizes her just yet.
Zahra let her head fall back and let out a laugh. She spread her arms out at her sides and slowly spun around to a theme only she heard in her head. She hummed a tune while she twirled around under the moonlight. The wind blew her raven black hair around. She giggled and bit her bottom lip before she turned back towards the camera slowly.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : I told the world how my reign over this division would bring darkness and despair. That I would expose each and every woman in the back as a fraud. A liar. A false prophet. Many of them toss around their hype, making themselves out to be some huge threat... And the funny thing is... Each of these fools truly believe their own bullshit that spews from their mouth week in and week out. These talent-less wastes of space truly believe they have a shot in hell at taking this title from me and becoming the new face of the EBWF Women’s division. It only gives me far too much gratification to prove them wrong, one after the other, and expose them to the world as nothing more than pitiful greedy dreamers. All the women in the back have their head in the clouds, they can’t even tell up from down anymore. Dreamers are all they are ever going to be. Doer’s... Such as myself... Are the true history makers. I have no need to dream about my goals... No... I take them by force. I don’t wait my turn or play nice, that is not my modus operandi. When my sights are set on something, I do whatever it takes to get the job done the first time. Excuses are for the weak. Remorse is for the dead.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : You see... Legion saved my life. It made me the true fighter that I am. Legion showed me my true potential. I do not need to come out to the ring and appease the universe with my presence. I do not need to run my mouth about how great I am... No... I let my work speak for me. I have been a rather “silent” champion if you will. Every other woman before me had to speak the loudest. They used lots of pretty words or turn of phrases to paint a dangerous and alluring picture. They used their words to get under the skin of their opponents and into their minds.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : Not I. I let them fear me as they see what I am capable of doing in that ring. I have destroyed the opposition. Now I’m just getting recycled remnants of opponents I have defeated all year long. It is I who stands before the world as the greatest EBWF Women’s champion this company has seen in a decade!
Zahra’s words had a “hiss” of excitement to them. She grinned, believing her own words wholeheartedly.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : Legion made me complete. I grew stronger when Tommy took me under his wing and showed me the light. The truth. For far too long, Legion has laid low in the shadows and watched from afar as the World slowly began to rot away. The rich got richer, the greedy took power, and the corruption spread as far as the eye could see. Because of filth like the ladies that line the locker room in the back, eager for their big moment and a huge paycheck, and never about the greater good. Not just of this division, or this company... But this world. A world left to burn... Now Legion is building their dreams off the ashes of YOUR nightmares. We take YOUR failures and spin them into golden successes.
Zahra reached down and scooped up some dirt with her hand. She muttered an inaudible chant before she closed her eyes and blew the dirt from her hand. It scattered into the wind and a few silent moments passed before she opened her eyes and spoke once more.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : You all think you know best, but you all have it so wrong. You think we are the enemy... When in reality we are here to show the way. We are warriors of the truth. White hats in a chaotic world with deep seeded roots of corruption. Legion harnesses a power within that no ordinary mortal could ever comprehend. Only those whose eyes have been opened and those who seek a higher level of consciousness. The rest of the masses will remain asleep, blind to the truth, willingly giving up their freedoms to feel some kind of safety in this cruel... Over offended world.
Zahra stepped back a few steps at this point and let out a unique whistle. She waved her hand to motion for something.
[ZAHRA|SCHREIBER] : Speaking of the overly offended, if you fit that category... you may want to tune out now...
After a few moments, four robbed figures stepped out of the crowd and struggled with an unknown person. The nameless someone struggled in their grasp, trying their best to fend them off and escape even though there was no where to go. They were in the middle of nowhere.
As the figure got closer, it was obvious that it was a woman's figure. She was gagged with a cloth across the mouth and tied behind her head. Her muffled screams fell on deaf ears as they dragged her onto a large boulder that was near by. The four robed figures each held and appendage to spread the woman across the stone. Her eyes were terrified. Zahra smiled, a certain evilness crept across her features. Zahra's eyes zoned in on the pleading woman and slowly stalked towards her like she were prey. Zahra muttered another chant and held up a rather large knife. The shiny blade glistened in the moon light. The woman dished out several muffled please as Zahra lifted her arms above her head and held the blade with both of her hands. The camera focused up towards the moon as Zahra brought the knife down with force and a blood curdling scream was let out before complete silence. The camera flickered and static took over before cutting out completely.
