Jamie walks into the Barnes and Nobles off of Broadway, in New York City. She looks around the store, which had been set up for the Meet and Greet she was scheduled for today. Jamie was granted the week off from television, but she had a few scattered, scheduled appearances. She walks over towards the tables as they motion for her to take a seat. The bookshelves had been moved back to make space for the tables for the superstars. There was a card board cut out of Velvet Sky right behind where she was to be seated. An employee offers Jamie a cold bottle of water, which she smiles and accepts.

Thank you. I guess this is where I am supposed to be.
She smiles and walks over to sit down on the chair behind the fold up table. There was a crazy long line of fans standing outside the door, all riled up to meet some of the EBWF superstars. Jamie crosses her legs, looking down at her phone and checking for any text messages. She had one from Layla, who Jamie had convinced to travel with her to New York to get out of the house. Layla had decided to stay at the hotel during this event, not wanting to be around any public setting at the moment. Jamie sighs, wishing that he would text her by now. She ran a few fingers through her hair, knowing that she was most likely looking too far into this between her and Paul. Maybe nothing else was suppose to happen. Jamie sets down her phone, looking around the store while the people coordinating the event were busy running around for last minute preparations. Jaime could hear the fans perk up outside, this must mean the other superstars were finally arriving. The door to the store swung open as The Corre walks in. Jamie pauses for a moment at the sight of Paul, she hadn't seen him since their night out together. Jamie shifts uncomfortably on her seat as they are lead over to the table next to hers, which was set up to form a straight line for the fans. Jamie decided to respond to Layla's text as the two walked over to their table, taking a seat as well. Paul takes a seat next to her, busy talking to one of the coordinators of the event. Jamie waves to Heath who sits on the other side of Paul.

Hey Heath, how's it going?
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Hey there Jamie, how you doing? Crazy they scheduled us in New York today.
Heath reaches into his pocket and gets out some sharpies and pens, knowing that he's going to need a lot to get through this signing. Paul finishes up talking some details with the coordinators and turns in his seat. He hears Jamie saying hello to Heath, but nothing is said to him. He looks to his left and looks at Jamie.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Hello to you too then...
Jamie looks ahead of her, not paying any attention to Paul talking to her. Paul stares at Jamie for a few seconds before shaking his head and turning forward. Heath looks between the two of the them.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Am I missing something?
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Yeah, Heath, that is pretty crazy. No... You're not missing anything.
Jamie taps one of the pens against the table, staring off in front of her, trying not to glance over at Paul. Sure, she wanted to talk to him, but she didn't appreciate being strung along, either. Jamie crosses her leg and wiggles her foot back and forth.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Alright, just seems like something happened. Anyways, when does this thing start again?
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
We're kinda early, we've got a few minutes.
As Paul finishes talking to Heath he quickly turns to Jamie. Heath stares at Paul wondering what he is doing. Paul moves to the edge of the seat and leans over to Jamie. Heath tries to lean over to get a listen, but has a hard time.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
What is wrong with you? You're acting all different.
Jamie rolls her eyes when he asks her what her deal is. She continues staring forward, not making any attempt at eye contact with him. Jamie whispers to keep her voice down.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Acting different? Oh, I'm sorry. I kind of figured you'd call after our date, not string me along. I knew it was too good to be true. You men never change, I swear. Let's just get through this meet and greet peacefully. Mm'kay?
Jamie takes a sip out of her water bottle, still not bothering to glance at Paul even once. Heath is still trying to lean over to hear what is going on. He's made out little, but does manage to hear about the two going on a date.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Wait, you two went on a date?! Why was I not informed of this?!
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Heath, not right now.
Paul holds his hand up towards Heath, maintaining his focus on Jamie. She's still staring forward, still trying not to look at Paul.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
What are you talking about? I texted you plenty of times, and never once got a reply. So I figured that you didn't want to talk to me, so I stopped. Then Heath and I went over seas to take care or some business. I don't know what I did for you not to reply, but whatever. Yeah, let's just get through this.
Paul shakes his head in frustration and turns back in his chair. He looks over at Heath, who has a confused look on his face. He doesn't know what is going on between these two. Both Jamie and Paul continue to stare forward going back to be silent.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Uh, yeah we did go on a date. I'm guessing he didn't tell you about that either, then.
Jamie looks over at Paul for the first time since he had arrived.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
How the hell am I suppose to respond when you never sent anything! I don't even have your number, remember? You have mine. It's fine, I understand now that the other night was meaningless, so we'll move on and forget it ever happened.
Jamie shifts her gaze back in front of her, looking out the window at the crowd waiting to be let in. She sighed, hoping this would go quick. What the hell was his deal anyways?
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Yeah, I do have your number, and I have the texts that I sent too, look!
Paul digs into his pocket and pulls out his phone. He works his way through his phone til he gets to the part that he needs. He then sets his phone down in front of Jamie who's eyes drop down looking at the phone. It's set up on his outbox text messages, he had her named saved, but when she didn't respond, he deleted the contact info, but the number was there. The phone shows that he did send numerous texts to the number that is on the phone.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
See, there are countless texts on there. All of them from me, none from you. Now what do you have to say?
Jamie looks up at him and shrugs her shoulders. She grabs her phone, holding it out for him to take.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
I have no idea, but go ahead and look. I got nothing, not one single one of those.
Paul slowly takes it out of her hand, looking at her, saying nothing else. Jamie looks back down at his phone. She noticed that two of the digits had been entered in wrong.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Well no wonder, you don't even have my number right. It's 1642, not 1624.
Jamie lifts up his phone, editing the contact number so it is correct. She then retypes her name into his phone and presses the save button on it.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Delete it if you want, but now it's correct.
Jamie reaches over and places his phone back in front of him. Paul hands her phone back to her and looks down at his.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
You're the one that took my phone out of my hand the other night and put it in there. So if it was wrong, it was because you were drunk.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Jamie was drunk?!
Paul looks over at Heath as to tell him to mind his business. He fiddles with his pens as Paul turns back to Jamie.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
You saw that I texted you, so of course I wanted to talk to you. Next time, just come forth and ask me instead of getting all mad, okay? It was just a late night, slightly tipsy mistake.
Paul smiles at Jamie, who is beginning to go back to normal as everything is beginning to set in that this was neither of their faults. Jamie nods her head.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Wait, what was a late night, tipsy mistake? You guys didn't..
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Ugh, no, Heath! We didn't do anything! We went on a date, and I gave him my number. I mistakenly put in the wrong number because I had a few too many glasses of wine. Paul, here, was nice enough to see me back to my hotel to make sure I was okay.
Jamie twiddles her fingers, looking over at Paul once more.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
You're right, I over reacted. I was looking forward to hearing from you all week, and when I got nothing... I figured you were just blowing me off and I had no clue why.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Well, it wasn't much different on my end of things... but anyways it's all worked out now. Wait a second, let's check quick and make sure.
Paul looks at his phone and then begins clicking away on the touch screen. After a few seconds he sets his phone down and waits. Quickly enough, Jamie's phone begins to vibrate on the table. Jamie smiles as she looks down at her phone.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Alright, you put in the right digits this time. So now that we got that figured out, what are you doing tonight after the signing? Heath and I were gonna hit up a club in town tonight. You wanna come join us?
Paul smiles at Jamie. Jamie clicks away on her phone, adding his number into her phone, making sure to save it. She sets her phone back down on the table next to her before looking over at Paul.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Um.. well nothing. I hadn't really planned anything, I hardly knew I had this meet and greet. Luckily I got an email to remind me, so I got here pretty last minute. A club sounds like it would be a lot of fun, and I'd love to join.
Jamie flashes a warm smile over at Paul once more, grabbing a sharpie off the table, since they are about to open the doors in mere minutes.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
I never get out to clubs anymore, so it would be a lot of fun to go out and have a good time for once.
«°¤° "Heath Slater" || Heath Miller °¤°»
Jamie's gonna join us tonight? Alright, that's cool but just don't cramp my style, I gotta make up some since I've been out of the country.
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Don't mind him, we won't have to see to much of him tonight. It's awesome you want to come, I'll make sure it's fun for you. The club is called Crimson, I'm sure you're gonna want to get your club gear on, us too, so we can just meet at the club tonight.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Absolutely, sounds like a blast! Is it close by?
«°¤° | "Justin Gabriel" || Paul Lloyd Jr. | °¤°»
Yeah, right down Broadway actually, so maybe a few blocks from here.
«°¤° "Velvet Sky" || Jamie Szantyr °¤°»
Oh good, my hotel isn't far from here so that would work perfectly. Sounds like a plan to me then.
She smiles once more at Paul as their gaze meets for a few moments. The doors of the Barnes and Noble were finally opened, and the fans began to pile in the building, turning their attention away from one another, and on to the fans.
