VELVET SKY

The scene opened up with Michael Cole backstage in the interview area that had been set up in the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin for Survivor Series. Behind him was a TV monitor that advertised Survivor Series and a light that displayed the EBWF logo on a black curtain. He raised his microphone to speak.

one.and.only;;michael.cole: Ladies and Gentleman, my guest at this time is only a few moments away from her scheduled match against current EBWF Women's Champion, Michelle McCool. She is a former Sky High Champion, and a former two time, longest reigning Divas Tag Team Champion, Velvet Sky!

Velvet flashed a smile at Michael as she stepped into the view of the camera. She was already dressed in her usual ring gear and her high lighted hair hung loose around her face in soft curls.

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: Thanks Michael. It's a pleasure to be here tonight.

one.and.only;;michael.cole: Are you at all nervous about tonight? You've certainly had a few previous run in's with Michelle McCool over the last year. Now you finally get your chance at the title. How does this make you feel?

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: Of course I'm a little nervous. Not in the sense of beating Michelle, but who doesn't get a little nervous right before a PPV? It's a sold out crowd out there and they are definitely ready for one hell of a show.

Velvet Sky shifted her weight.

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: I'm completely honored to have this opportunity and I'm going to just give it my all. I know many strong women before me have tried to get the title off Michelle and failed, so I have my work cut out for me. Brie Bella and Torrie Wilson both gave their all and came out unsuccessful. I feel there is no room for error tonight, someone HAS to end McCool's title reign and it looks like it's going to be me.

one.and.only;;michael.cole: You have most certainly been on a roll lately, racking up wins against Alexa Bliss, Paige, and Emma in recent weeks. At Fanniversary you beat out two other Divas to become the new number one contender for the Women's title, which leads you to here tonight, Survivor Series. Where do you think this momentum you have right now is coming from?

Velvet thought over his question for a few moments and simply shrugged her shoulders.

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: I think it's from a few different things. After Angelina turned on me this past Summer, and hearing everyone in the locker room doubt what I can do in the ring without her... it sort of pushes you more to prove every single one of them wrong. Which is what I'm doing. It's also nice to be on my own two feet, no one can take my success away and say it's because of my tag team partner. I also have a pretty great guy around that I've been managing, so that always helps.

Velvet practically beamed when she mentioned Justin Gabriel and their recent history of accompanying one another to the ring.

one.and.only;;michael.cole: Will he be accompanying you to the ring tonight?

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: Oh heavens, no. He has his hands full with his own match. No distractions tonight, it's just Michelle against me. No one at ringside, no one to interfere, just an all around fair fight. I mean... I'm not saying Michelle won't try to pull some tricks out of her sleeve, she almost always tries to pull something. But, I'd like to think that I'm prepared for it. I know she won't view me as much of a threat and I expect that. However, Michelle doesn't understand the fighter inside of me. You can knock me down, but I will always get back up on my feet. I'm a survivor and I will never stop fighting for the things I want most. I honestly feel I was screwed out of my Royal Rumble win last year by her, and she stole what was suppose to be MY Wrestlemania moment. I'd like to think I can get a little revenge back for that, here tonight! This is the moment I've been waiting for!

one.and.only;;michael.cole: I could only imagine. Every Diva in the back wants to be where you are right now. How do you deal with what is being said about you getting this shot at the title?

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: You gotta brush that dirt off ya' shoulders.

Velvet laughed at her Jay Z reference and brushed her fingers across the top of her shoulder to simulate.

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: I say let the gremlins talk, I'm here for a reason. You might very well be looking at your next Women's Champion.

Velvet pointed to herself and smiled proudly.

one.and.only;;michael.cole: Any last words for your opponent this evening?

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: Honestly, what's left to say about Michelle that hasn't already been said? Everyone else in the locker room has already touched on everything I can think of. I mean her past with Styles, her terrible attitude, her lack of respect, Her past with the Undertaker, her former life as a teacher... some variation of her name... it's all been said before. Tonight isn't about words, Michael, tonight is about action. They always say actions speak louder than words and that is exactly how it's going to go down. I'm sure Michelle McCool has a plethora of slanderous names to call me, poking fun at my ring entrance, or calling me fat for the hundredth time. None of it matters and it's not going to work. She can bash me to hell and back, but the ultimate kick to the ego... will be when I walk out of here with the title she has held since Aftermath. It's gone on for far too long and someone has to do something about it. This division needs a leader, not a bully!

one.and.only;;michael.cole: I can agree with you on that much. I'd also like to take a moment and wish you the best of luck this evening in your match.

jamie.szantyr;;velvet.sky: Thank you, Michael, but save the luck for Michelle. Maybe she'll be lucky enough not to break any bones in her face when I drop her down on the mat; right before I take the title from her, bringing an end to her days on top. No longer will people have to deal with a champion that only tries to destroy everything this division stands for. No one said we all had to get along, but we can at least show some respect around here. I'm not just going to do this tonight for me, but for every single one of you. The fans, the other Divas, my family, the company. Everyone. History will change out there in that ring tonight. I will be the new EBWF Women's Champion, you can put your money on it!

Velvet nodded and walked off the interview set as her match would be coming up shortly. She could be seen smiling to herself by crew members backstage as she headed down the corridor. This could be her big moment. The kind of moment she had needed for quite awhile now. If she could really pull this one off, she would finally win the Women's Championship. Something that she had not been able to get her hands on since joining the company back in early 2011.
